WHERE TO SKI

There are a number of areas in Northern Pakistan in the high mountain ranges like Chitral, Kaghan and Swat that are ideal for skiing.

The precipitation and snow accumulation in these areas being very high make them ideal for skiing. Chitral, lower regions of Swat and Kaghan have all the prerequisites to be developed as skiing and snow boarding sites.

There are plenty of sites and opportunities for Cross country skiing in the Northern Areas. At present the best available skiing areas are at Naltar, Burzil Pass and Rattu (near Astore, in District Gilgit).

There are several fully developed slopes at the following locations:-
